STAFF/PROJECT GEOLOGIST/ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

The successful candidate should have 3-5 years of previous environmental experience and OSHA HAZWOPER 40-Hr training (40 CFR 1910.120) with a minimum of a BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or other Earth Science. Responsibilities include various fieldwork and challenging office assignments that will require the candidate to work effectively within a team and independently. Field tasks will include sampling soil, groundwater, and soil gas by various methods, including EPA low-flow groundwater sampling, logging soil borings, field mapping, completing field paperwork, documenting daily field activities, and oversight of drilling and remediation subcontractors. Familiarity with EPA-approved low flow groundwater sampling methodologies and installing groundwater monitoring wells and soil borings are required. Office assignments will include multi-tasking projects from conception to closure with excellent technical writing skills and attention to detail. Specific tasks include data evaluation and authoring detailed investigative reports (i.e., Phase I and Phase II ESAs), Affected Property Assessment Reports, Municipal Setting Designation reports, Response Action Plans, and Response Action Completion Reports. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills to meet demanding deadlines effectively. Knowledge of Texas environmental regulations and experience with the Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP) rules are a plus.
