Oil and Gas Site Assessment and Cleanup

Our seasoned staff comprises registered professional engineers and geoscientists with decades of combined experience in oil and gas exploration and production (E&P)-related environmental projects including:

  • Site Assessments/Investigations (soil and groundwater) at tank batteries, tank farms, well pads, drill sites, reserve pits, compressor (PCBs) and metering stations (mercury), and new/used operator pipe yards (operators)

  • Remedial Design (RD) and Remedial Action (RA) oversight for soil remediation at historic well locations, reserve pits, well pads, compressor stations, pipeline spill and rupture sites, pipeline pigging pits, mercury metering stations, and compressor station PCB oil releases

  • RD/RA oversight for groundwater remediation at compressor stations, tank batteries, condensate accumulators, and pipeline release sites (remedies include monitored natural attenuation [MNA] and in-situ treatment via injection and/or extraction and hydraulic control)

  • Preparation and feasibility evaluations of project bid/construction specifications

  • Construction management for clean-out, demolition and disposal of ASTs, and performing abandoned equipment naturally-occurring radioactive material (NORM) and asbestos-containing material (ACM) surveys

  • Regulated Waste Evaluations

  • Pipeline ROW site assessments for crude and refined product pipeline acquisition, expansion, abandonment, and releases

  • RD, management, and evaluation of bioremediation cells at land farms

  • Conduct Geophysical Investigations to locate buried/covered anomalies such as historical oil/gas well casings, reserve pits, tanks, drums, and feeder/jack lines

  • Design and installation of produced water and brine recovery and disposal systems

  • Engineering oversight of hot tap, monitoring, and capping of historic oil/gas well casings and pipelines

  • Preparation of Spill Prevention Controls and Countermeasures Plans (SPCC), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and wastewater discharge permits

  • Litigation support/expert witness testimony
