Project Highlights

Affordable Feed & Tack (Former Railroad Yard)
SKA was retained by a private developer to conduct comprehensive environmental investigations and remediation activities on the former Affordable Feed & Tack property located in Houston, Harris County, Texas.  The site formerly operated as a portion of a large railroad yard from the early 1900s to late 1960s and more recently as a retail feed and tack facility.  An underground storage tank (UST) system was utilized by the feed and tack facility for fleet fueling. Rafferty Fee Lease No. 1 Reserve Pit Closure - Big Thicket National Preserve
SKA was retained by an independant oil and gas exploration and production company to provide professional environmental services associated with an inactive oil well Site located in the Jack Gore Baygall Unit of the Big Thicket National Preserve in Hardin County, Texas.  Previous Site assessment and investigations conducted on behalf of the National Park Service and the Railroad Commission of Texas indentified former oil and/or gas Exploration and Production activities including a former reserve pit that had not been closed in accordance with state and federal regulations.
